I loved Megan’s other program Muscle Burns Fat and I’m excited to see what results I’ll get with Sure Thing. I’m only two weeks into the program and thought it started out slow. But now that I’m into the second week I’m feeling sore and excited to hit play every day!
What is Sure Thing?
Sure Thing is an 8-week program designed from a science-based approach called “Type Training.” This approach targets slow-twitch and fast-twitch muscle fibers to help you quickly reach your fitness goals.
These workouts will alternate between Endurance weeks and Power weeks. To build endurance and strength while burning calories and building muscle. To break through plateaus, there are two weeks that focus on strength training with added mobility work. And recovery time to challenge your body but never overtrain it.
During the endurance weeks, you’ll use lighter weights and do higher rep ranges along with cardio to target those slow-twitch muscle fibers. This focus will help get you lean and sculpted.
On power weeks the focus will be on heavy lifting with one intense cardio day. These workouts target fast-twitch muscle fibers and help you get stronger while still burning fat.
The fourth and eighth weeks of the program are functional recovery weeks. These weeks are focused on strength circuit workouts. The strength circuit workouts are a hybrid approach of both lifting methods with added mobility work.
Recovery weeks are meant for you to keep moving while allowing your body a chance to rest and recover. So you’re ready to take on the new challenges in the following weeks.

Before you start Sure Thing you’ll want to complete the Fit Check. Do the Fit Check before you start the program, after week 4, and at the end of the program.

Who is Megan Davies?

Megan was a contestant on Beachbody’s fitness reality show, THE 20s. She was chosen as the next Super Trainer to create her first program, Clean Week.

What should I do after I finish the program?

The Last Thing You Need to Know About Sure Thing
While writing this post I am currently on week 2 of Sure Thing. After the first day of the program, I didn’t feel sore. So I was worried that this program wasn’t going to be challenging enough.
The first week of Megan’s other workout, Muscle Burns Fat, my legs were so sore for the first week of the program! Though I haven’t felt this soreness yet, now that I’m a week in a half into the program I changed my mind about it being challenging. I’m looking forward to seeing what gains I can accomplish during these 8 weeks:)
